I know how frustrating it can be to find mistakes in a pattern I'm working on so I make every effort to prevent this from happening.  But, being human and far from perfect, occasionally a mistake will slip through.  If you notice an error in your pattern, please contact me!  I'll recheck and post the correction here.

Instructions for a border block (Four-patch Variation) were omitted in the original pattern. There should be 13 border blocks. If your pattern has only 12, please email me and I'll email the instructions for the missing block to you.

If you bought one of the original patterns printed in 2002, there are 3 mistakes in it (in subsequent printings, these have been corrected.)  Please check your pattern to see if the measurements for Block 4 and Block 8 (below) are correct.  If they are, you have the reprinted version.

1.  Some of the pieces in the wonky stars in Block 9 are incorrect.  Contact me and I'll mail or fax you the correct page.

2.  Block 8, House  #2: the sky and chimney should be 1 1/2" x 2 1/2".

3.  Block 4: the side fabric beside the two windows should be 1 1/2" x 2", as opposed to 1 1/2" x 1 1/2".

Section II

Please change the measurements of the second background block to 9 1/2" x 18 1/2" (not 9 1/2" x 24 1/2").

Block 3 (Windmill)

The background measures 8 1/2" x 12 1/2".

The windmill is appliqued.  For the legs of the windmill, cut a strip 1" x 34".  Sew long edges together, right side out, with a scant 1/4" seam.  Cut into lengths indicated, pin onto background fabric having the seam in the back, and applique the strips in place. For the blades, trace 2 circle sections onto a piece of freezer paper.  Cut out on the line and iron onto the right side of the background fabric and windmill fabric.  Cut out 1/4" beyond the freezer paper.  Remove the freezer paper template and reuse.  Cut 7 sections from the background fabric and 7 from the windmill fabric.  Alternating the fabrics, sew together from outer edge of circle to the center.  Make 2 half-circles and sew together to complete the large sectioned circle.  Pin in place on background.  Trace small center circle and pentagon shape onto freezer paper, cut out on line, and iron onto the windmill fabric. Cut out 1/4" beyond the freezer paper. Remove the paper template.  Pin in place with crossbar strip under large sectioned circle and pentagon shape and small center circle over large sectioned circle.  Applique in place.
