These old-fashioned clothespin bags measure about 9 1/2" x 16". I make them from tea-stained osnaburg and a contrasting homespun trim. They feature a vintage soap graphic on the front and come with an old wooden clothespin. I've inserted a hanger at the top for easy hanging. Please specify which colour trim (navy, red, green, black) you wish.
A Primitives by Kathy product, this 36" long chenille garland features 5 painted and distressed resin hearts.
This canvas and fabric painted floorcloth measures 14" x 42" and is a Primitives by Kathy product. It features pineapples and crows.
This primitive pincushion is made from osnaburg which I've glued into an old zinc jar lid. I've stitched "pins" and a small flower in blue and brown floss on the top and finished it off with a rusty safety pin and old button.
This pocket is made from stained osnaburg and lined with black print cotton fabric. It features a black cross-stitched design on the front. I've filled it with dried sweet annie and waxed rosebuds. The pocket measures about 5" x 5 1/4" and comes with a black print cotton hanger attached at the side with two old black buttons.
I've always loved these old pincushions and was so happy when I finally found a pattern for them! They measure about 4" tall by 7" in diameter and are made from cotton fabric and finished off with an old button and a rusty safety pin. Please specify: gold/navy (front) or blue/tan (back).
This puzzle-ball is made up of 12 sections held together by 6 old buttons. It measures about 5 1/2" in diameter. I made it from dark brown and tan cotton fabric and stuffed it with polyfil. It's NOT A TOY but a prim, old-fashioned decoration for your home.
In earlier times, anyone who might have to reattach a button carried one of these sewing rollups, portable mending kits, also called huswifs. They often held tiny scissors, a thimble, embroidery threads, buttons, and pins. I made this one in red and brown cotton fabrics based on a pattern in Early American Life magazine, measuring 4 1/4" x 9 1/2". It has 3 little pockets to hold sewing needfuls and is embellished with a stuffed little heart and a small piece of wool on the bottom pocket for a rusty safety pin and a couple of buttons. (Scissors and pins not included.) It rolls up in thirds to 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" and has a little button on the back to keep it closed.
